Events

Bring the bus to your event.

A 1960s London Routemaster, available for private hire, that arrives as a coffee bar, a lounge and a landmark. Here is how she works at different kinds of occasion.

At your event

A landmark that also serves coffee.

Most event suppliers fill a space. A Routemaster becomes the place people meet, take photographs and come back to.

Something to see

Around 1,200 Routemasters survive from the 2,876 built. Guests notice one the moment it arrives.

Somewhere to sit

The upper deck is a lounge with red bench seating, for guests, a wedding party or a quieter moment.

Something good to drink

The lower deck serves speciality coffee, cold drinks, waffles and fries through the side hatches.

Occasions

How the bus is used.

The occasions we are asked about most, and what the bus does at each one.

01Private

Weddings & private celebrations

Coffee and something sweet after the ceremony, somewhere comfortable for the wedding party to sit, and a backdrop the photographer will be glad of.

Ideal for
Weddings, garden parties, milestone birthdays, anniversaries and family gatherings.
How the bus is used
Coffee and desserts for guests, the upper deck as a lounge, and banners with names and a date if you would like them.
02Corporate

Corporate hospitality

A better welcome than an urn in the corner. Guests queue at a Routemaster, get properly made coffee, and talk about it afterwards.

Ideal for
Conferences, client days, staff appreciation, awards and open days.
How the bus is used
Barista coffee made to order, with your company's branding on the bus if you want it.
03Brand

Launches & brand activations

People stop to photograph a red Routemaster. With your artwork on the side, those photographs carry your brand.

Ideal for
Product launches, sampling, retail pop-ups and roadshows.
How the bus is used
Full-side banners, branded service and a stand that draws a crowd wherever it parks.
04Public

Festivals & public events

Quick service from a stand people can find from across the field.

Ideal for
Music and food festivals, shows, sporting fixtures, markets and fairs.
How the bus is used
Coffee, cold drinks and hot food, served at volume through the side hatches.
05Community

Charity, community & cultural events

Food and coffee give people a reason to gather. The bus gives them a place to do it.

Ideal for
Fundraisers, community days, cultural and faith celebrations, schools and family days out.
How the bus is used
A welcoming stop at the heart of the day, with arrangements shaped around the cause.
06Media

Film, TV & photography

Few things say Britain as quickly as a red double-decker. Ours is a working vehicle that also keeps the crew fed.

Ideal for
Period drama, commercials, music videos, editorial and fashion shoots.
How the bus is used
A genuine Routemaster as backdrop or set piece, plus coffee and food between takes.
Beyond a single day

Longer hires and travel.

For the right project, the bus can stay longer and go further. Logistics are planned with you from the first conversation.

07Residencies

Residencies & extended hire

Keep the bus at your venue, estate or attraction for a run of weekends, a season or several months. It becomes your café and a reason for visitors to come.

Ideal for
Country estates, visitor attractions, hotels, private venues and seasonal programmes.
08International

International & touring projects

London Bus Cafe was built to travel. For selected events outside the UK, the bus can bring a genuine piece of British heritage, with proper hospitality alongside it.
